Alamance and Gibsonville Public Library branches have Nature Notebooks for K-5 students and their families!
The notebooks have activities that are fun to complete together, and an contest for young nature artists. Many of the Little Libraries in Alamance Parks are stocked as well. If you’re having trouble getting your hands on one, we’ll mail you what you need! Email us at stormwatersmart@ptrc.org.
Alamance and Gibsonville Public Library branches are giving away seed packets while supplies last! These free packets of wildflowers and grasses feature an original illustrations by environmental artist Madison James, with a seed mix of perennials, annuals, natives, and well-adapted plants that hold soil in place and provide shelter and food for pollinators and other wildlife. Help keep our creek habitats healthy by creating “No Mow” zones within 50 feet of the top of stream banks, and plant a variety of native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs, and trees to create a beautiful “Buffer Zone”!
Advance registration is important for this event in order to reserve a place for your child. https://www.cityofgraham.com/youth-fishing-day/
